Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 May 2026 · Effective: 31 May 2026
1. Eligibility & Age Requirement
Calx is strictly for users aged 18 years or older. By using the platform you confirm you meet this requirement. We may request verification of age at any time and may suspend or close accounts where the age requirement is not met or cannot be confirmed.
You must also be legally permitted to use a prediction platform in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring your use of Calx complies with the laws that apply to you.
2. Accounts & Registration
To use Calx you must create an account using a valid email address. Account verification is completed using a one-time passcode (OTP) sent to your email.
- You may hold only one account. Multiple accounts per person are not permitted.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
3. How Markets Work
Calx is a pool-based prediction platform. Each market asks a clear question with two outcomes — Yes or No. Users stake funds on the outcome they believe will occur.
- All stakes on a market form a shared pool.
- The percentages shown for each outcome reflect how the pool is currently split and change as more stakes are placed.
- When a market closes and the outcome is resolved, the winning side shares the pool, after applicable fees.
- Displayed potential payouts are estimates and change as the pool changes. The final payout is calculated at resolution based on the actual pool.
Predictions are based on real-world events and outcomes. Calx does not guarantee any winnings. You may lose the funds you stake.
4. Deposits
Deposits are made in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) via the payment methods available on the platform.
- Minimum deposit: LKR 300
- Maximum deposit: LKR 10,000 per transaction
- Funds are credited to your platform wallet once payment is confirmed.
- You may only deposit funds from accounts held in your own name.
5. Payouts & Withdrawals
Winnings are credited to your wallet when a market resolves. You may withdraw available funds to your bank account.
- Minimum withdrawal: LKR 300
- Maximum withdrawal: LKR 100,000 per transaction
- Withdrawals are paid to a bank account held in your own name.
- We may require identity verification before processing a withdrawal.
- Processing times may vary. We aim to process withdrawals promptly but do not guarantee a specific timeframe.
6. Fees
- A platform fee of 6.5% applies to withdrawals.
- A portion of each prize pool is retained by Calx as a platform rake, disclosed on each market.
- Fees are shown before you confirm a transaction.
7. Market Resolution Rules
Each market specifies a resolution source and resolution rules before it opens. Markets are settled according to those stated rules.
- Markets resolve based on the outcome reported by the named resolution source(s) — for example official results, recognised national news outlets, or official published data.
- Where a market specifies multiple sources, the rule stated on that market applies (for example, confirmation by more than one recognised outlet).
- If an outcome cannot be clearly determined, or an event is cancelled or postponed beyond the market window, Calx may void the market and return stakes.
- Resolution decisions are made in good faith. Calx's determination, applied according to the stated rules, is final.
8. Refunds & Disputes
- Stakes placed on a market are committed and cannot be withdrawn while the market is open, except where a market is voided.
- If a market is voided, stakes on that market are returned to users' wallets.
- If you believe a market has been resolved incorrectly, you may raise a dispute via our support channel within 7 days of resolution.
- We will review disputes in good faith and respond. Our final determination under the stated resolution rules is binding.
9. Fair Play
To keep markets fair for everyone, the following are prohibited:
- Operating more than one account, or coordinating accounts to manipulate a pool.
- Collusion between users to influence market outcomes or payouts.
- Using bots, scripts, or automated systems to place predictions.
- Attempting to manipulate, influence, or gain inside knowledge of a real-world event a market is based on.
- Exploiting bugs or errors rather than reporting them.
We may void predictions, withhold payouts, and close accounts involved in unfair play.
10. Partner & Referral Program
Calx offers a referral and partner program. Users and partners may earn commission when people they refer use the platform.
- Commissions are earned in line with the program terms shown in your dashboard.
- Referrals must be genuine. Self-referral, fake accounts, and incentivised abuse are prohibited and will result in forfeited commission and possible account closure.
- Calx may adjust the program terms, and will communicate material changes.
11. Prohibited Conduct
You must not use Calx for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering, fraud, or financing of illegal activity. We monitor for suspicious activity and may report it to the relevant authorities and freeze funds where required by law.
12. Limitation of Liability
Calx is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Calx is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for losses arising from your predictions, or for events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified on the platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
